The ski and snowboarding season begins at the end of November and ends in May. St. Moritz was officially opened as a ski and nowboarding resort almost 145 years ago.
There are many winter resort locations that have cleverly created separate courses for people who prefer to express their creativity by snowboarding or skiing down several courses.
Associating Dubai with its fantastic climate and all-year round sunshine with a skiing holiday is probably not the norm for most people. Tignes, a ski resort near Val d’Isère in the Espace Killy region of France, is an ideal destination for all skiers. The resort is made up of no fewer than five ski areas, both at the bottom and at the top of the valley. The areas are Les Boisses, Val Claret, Tignes Le Lac, Tignes le Lavachet, and Les Brevieres.
Downhill skiing requires a combination of athleticism, leisure, privilege, and the devil-may-care attitude that allows participants to enjoy the thrill of, essentially, falling down a steep snow-covered mountain, over and over again. It’s not a sport for the faint at heart.
Alpine skiing is also called down hill skiing. Lengthy skis are attached with each of the foot to slide down the hills covered with snow. It is a sport liked by many people around the world.
